Blue Monday

With all the hopes that a new year can bring, January can sometimes feel a bit long and a bit chilly! So, this is a good time for us to connect with others – colleagues, family, friends, young people - and take time to think about the things we enjoy. The idea of ‘Blue Monday’ (supposedly the most depressing day of the year but actually a PR stunt that has evolved into a media myth) provides the opportunity for us to remember that our mental and emotional health is really important, and can vary on any day and at any time of the year. We know that good days and bad days are inevitable for us all, what really matters is that we try to be there for each other; listening and being listened to.

So, for those that do find the winter a little harder, we suggest fighting off winter blues with WINTER BREWS!! ☕Let’s focus on doing and sharing what brings us joy - whether it be a walk round the park, reading a good book, taking up a new sport, or sharing a cuppa.  Through our own self-care, by building our own hope, resilience, and optimism we can demonstrate to others how to do the same and provide the best care for our children and young people. Take care of yourself, you are valued 💗
