Ethos and Values

Our vision at Therapeutic Care is to provide transformative and life changing therapeutic care for children and young people looked after.

We aspire to achieve the best possible sustainable outcomes for our children and young people by providing the best quality care. Creating small and homely environments with wraparound therapy supports the development of safety, connection, learning, and growth, that ultimately allows our young people to heal from their early trauma, to dare greatly and to reach for their potential.

We believe this can be achieved through providing an embedded therapeutic environment for our young people. To us, this means creating a home where young people feel safe and secure. A home with a culture of openness and acceptance for who they are. A home where strong and secure relationships between practitioners and young people are fostered and where young people are provided with the opportunities to help them thrive. This is possible with our passionate and nurturing practitioner teams with specialist skills and therapeutic training

Our highly experienced teams feel valued and enjoy their work. They understand the complex needs of children and young people who have experienced trauma, work together closely and collaboratively, and are well equipped with the strategies, skills and resilience required to support young people to overcome any hurdles along the way. It is also important not to underestimate the physical environment of the home, which we strive to make much like a family home – one that young people can be proud to live in and call home.

Trauma responsive care is at the core of our vision- and our therapy team are fundamental in supporting the integration of therapeutic principals at every level of our organisation through training, consultation, and/or supervision. These robust systems around the child (including practitioners, managers and therapists) are required for us to realise our vision, with good communication throughout the organisation being of crucial importance.

We aim to provide CARE that is….
